The Challenge
We were entrusted by the Hakim Group to redesign and remodel Norville’s flagship practice in Gloucester. The brief was complex and multifaceted and required us to:
- Design a concept influenced by Norville’s brand
- Position dispending at the heart of the customer journey
- Increase capacity for more patients (without building works)
- Create space for additional testing and state of the art pre testing space
The existing space was a tired and traditional featuring the hallmarks of an old-school fit-out, including excessive use of rods, poor lighting, and standard base units.
Design Approach
We wanted to maintain the heritage of the practice which had served its community for over 120 years. And, with many protected heritage features, such as the 19th century wooden shopfront we had a responsibility to remain sympathetic the building architecture and brand story.
With a rich heritage and well-respected brand – Norville’s Gloucester gave us a compelling design story to work with – our design direction was therefore inspired by Norville’s rich history.
